Close to the heart of Snowdon and  a variety of beautiful sandy beaches our accommodation at Cefn Eithin is ideal for exploring the local countryside. There is a huge range of local activities for the outdoor enthusiast including:

  • Wonderful lake, mountain and forest walks on our doorstep for walkers and ramblers,
  • Rock climbing,
  • Beautiful sandy and pebbly beaches for families and children,
  • Fantastic 18 hole golf courses at Caernarfon, Nefyn and Abersoch,
  • An ideal spot for the watersports enthusiasts including The National Watersports Centre at Plas Menai,
  • Cycling and Mountain Biking: Lon Eifion Cycle Track is on our doorstep and goes directly into Caernarfon one way (4 miles) and the other way towards Porthmadog, (See our cycle hire facility)

There are many small towns and villages all within a short distance which are ideal for shopping and browsing. Enjoy Caernarfon with its grand castle and walled town with small shops within, the market town of Pwllheli, the wonderful harbour town of Porthmadog, the scenic and picturesque villages of Beddgelert and Cricieth, the wonderful selection of walking and climbing shops at Betws y Coed, and the fantastic sailing shops at the harbour village of Abersoch on th Lleyn Peninsular.

There are a huge variety of holiday attractions and leisure pursuits all within a short distance of our accommodation. Experience a steam train trip on one of the many narrow gauge railways such as the Ffestiniog Welsh Highland Railway or the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis, the wonderful Portmeirion Italianette Village, the Llechwedd Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Cricieth Castles or relax on the numerous beautiful sandy beaches of the North West Wales Coast.

There are a variety of exciting activities to keep children busy during good and bad weather. These include:

  • Swimming at the local Arfon Leisure Centre or the pools in Pwllheli and Porthmadog,
  • Indoor and outdoor Tennis at the Caernarfon Tennis Centre,
  • Go Karting, Quad Biking, Indoor Bowling, Archery and Fishing at Glasfryn Parc,
  • Family Adventure at Greenwood Park Forest Park,
  • The Hwylfan Play Centre or The Den, fantastic indoor fun play areas in Caernarfon and Llanberis,

  • Electric Mountain in Llanberis (which also houses an indoor soft play area)
